Human Remains Found In Wooded Area Of Berks County

DOUGLASSVILLE, Pa. (CBS) – Police say human remains were discovered in a wooded area of Berks County on Monday afternoon.

The remains were apparently found by a passerby in the area of Monocacy Creek Road in Amity Township yesterday but were not reported to police until Tuesday around 10:05 a.m.

The remains, which were in a state of decomposition, will be removed and transported to the Reading Hospital and Medical Center for an autopsy.

Police are calling the death "suspicious," but there is no further information at this time.
