Souderton Area High School Community Gathers To Remember Montgomery County Victims

By David Spunt and Justin Udo

SOUDERTON, Pa., (CBS) -- Hundreds of students and parents filled the gymnasium at Souderton Area High School Monday night to remember 14-year-old Nina Flick, who was murdered along with five family members in Montgomery County on December 15th.

Police say Bradley Stone, 35, killed his ex-wife Nicole Hill, and five of her family members, including, her mother, Joanne Gilbert, and grandmother Patricia Hill. Police say Stone also killed Hill's sister, Patricia Flick, her husband Aaron, and their daughter Nina. Nina's brother Anthony Flick is fighting stab wounds in a local hospital.

Almost 900 students came out to remember Nina and pray for Anthony's recovery.

"I went to preschool with him, and we've been friends ever since then and stay friends to this day," Michael Kelly told Eyewitness News.

Kelly and several other students spoke about the Flick family, as students and parents listened from the crowd.

"It's hard to believe that something as horrible and tragic as this is what ended something as happy and funny as her. She was always so carefree and cool. I love her so much," said a student.

Students wore white ribbons to pray for the Flick family.

"We're here to weep. We're here to mourn. We're here to embrace," Assistant Principal Matt Haines told the crowd.

Friends began a GoFundMe website to help with Anthony's medical costs and any costs when he leaves the hospital.

"We're all here for each other," Nina Flick's friend Francesca Stanell said.

Students at the school say they'll tie white ribbons around town to show they are standing with Anthony Flick as he fights for his life.

"The reason I'm out helping all the time is I know if I was in his shoes, he would be out here doing the same thing for me, if not better," a student told KYW Newsradio.
