Nutter Speaks Out On Christie Rooting For Dallas Cowboys

By Mike Dunn

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Mayor Nutter is greeting the Great Chris Christie controversy with a shrug. Christie infuriated Eagles fans last weekend by hanging with the Dallas owner as the Cowboys beat up the Birds.

Mayor Nutter says what probably bothered Eagles fans most was not that Governor Christie was rooting for his team, the Cowboys, but that he seemed to be flaunting it on national television.

"What probably has raised the ire of a lot of folks here is that he is the governor of the state next door. And there's being for your team, and there's really putting it in folks' faces."

Still Nutter writes off the matter as just a case of sports fans getting passionate. He also opted to offer no reaction to Councilman Jim Kenney tweets critical of Christie. Kenney called the governor a 'fat ass.'

"Its a free country and the councilman is entitled to his contents. I don't usually talk about people's sizes."
