SportsRadio 94WIP And Angelo Cataldi Agree To New Contract

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — CBS RADIO's SportsRadio 94WIP announced today the re-signing of morning show host Angelo Cataldi to a new long-term contract. "Angelo Cataldi and the Morning Team" is broadcast weekdays from 5:30-10:00AM, ET and can be heard on-air, online at www.cbsphilly.com or by downloading the Radio.com app for mobile devices.

The outspoken Cataldi is one of the most powerful personalities in sports radio, annually appearing on several prominent industry trade publication lists of top sports hosts. He has been waking WIP listeners up since 1990 and his show consistently is among the most highly-rated programs in Philadelphia. Cataldi is known for his strong opinions, honesty, extravagant stunts and events, the most famous being the station's annual Wing Bowl. Before joining WIP, Cataldi was the Inquirer's Eagles beat writer where he earned two Pulitzer Prize nominations.

"It's a true thrill and honor to know that all my years on the radio will be working for WIP," said Cataldi. "It's a rarity for an on-air personality to have their entire broadcasting career, spanning nearly three decades, all at one station. I am grateful to have a great supporting cast and privileged to work for CBS RADIO who trusts me with the morning show on the best sports radio station, in the greatest sports town anywhere."

Added Marc Rayfield, Senior Vice President and Market Manager, CBS RADIO Philadelphia, "Angelo is a legend in Philadelphia radio. He has been the foundation of WIP since it became one of the first all-sports radio stations in the nation. This new contract shows the mutual commitment between CBS RADIO and Angelo Cataldi."

In a related announcement, SportsRadio 94WIP also signed two members of Cataldi's morning show ensemble, Al Morganti and Keith Jones, to new contracts.
