Clouds And Showers Return

By Justin Drabick

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --  After a week of mostly cloudy skies, the stubborn clouds over the past few days finally gave way to some sunshine today.  A milder air mass is also building back in to the Delaware Valley with highs today near 50 degrees in some locations.  Don't get used to the sunshine as our next storm system will impact the region on Tuesday.

Clouds will begin to thicken up again later tonight and Tuesday morning, as a warm front approaches.  The morning will stay dry on Tuesday with rain showers arriving in the afternoon and continuing through the evening.  This is a weak and fast moving system with less than .25" of rain expected.  Highs on Tuesday will remain above average near 50 degrees.

Drier conditions return for Wednesday with partly sunny skies and breezy conditions with highs in the low 50s.  The mild temperatures come to an end on Thursday, as temperatures drop back below average in the lower 40s under sunny skies.  Friday remains dry with highs again in the lower 40s with partly sunny skies before more clouds return on Saturday, ahead of another storm system.  That storm system could bring some rain or snow late in the weekend, depending on the strength and track.
