Funeral Set For Fallen Philadelphia Firefighter

By John McDevitt

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Funeral arrangements are now in place for firefighter Joyce Craig, who died battling a West Oak Lane house fire Tuesday morning.

A fund for her children she leaves behind has been established.

There will be two viewings at Batchelor Brothers Funeral Home, located at 7112 North Broad Street in Philadelphia. The first takes place on Friday at 6:00-9:00 p.m. Another will be held on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., when a memorial service is scheduled. Interment follows on Saturday at the Ivy Hill Cemetery.

Also, the Philadelphia Firefighters and Paramedics Union has set up a Joyce Craig memorial fund benefiting her two children. She leaves behind a teenager and a toddler.

The locals president, Joe Schulle says, "Any money that we raise will go directly to her children, so the fund is set up.  We are asking any donations please be sent to the police and fire federal credit union."

Donations can be made payable to: "Local 22 Joyce Craig Memorial Fund'' and mailed to the police and fire credit union at 901 Arch St., Philadelphia, PA 19107.
