PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — The Penn State Nittany Lions will square off against Boston College in the New Era Pinstripe Bowl.

The game is set for December 27th at Yankee Stadium in New York City.

Penn State was re-established as a bowl eligible team earlier this season when the NCAA decided to remove the bowl ban from the school due to their strides since the original punishments were handed down after the Jerry Sandusky scandal.

The team last competed in a bowl game in 2012 when they lost to Houston in the TicketCity Bowl. The Nittany Lions are 19-4 all-time against Boston College.
