Earl Thomas Sports Eagles Jersey After Game

By Ray Boyd

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- It is a custom in the NFL for players to swap jerseys after games as a sign of respect. On Sunday, a swap occurred that left Seahawks safety Earl Thomas in an Eagles jersey.

No, it wasn't a trade.

Thomas swapped jerseys with his former teammate and current Eagles safety Chris Maragos.

Maragos spent three seasons with the Seahawks before signing with the Eagles in 2014. He won a Super Bowl ring with Seattle last season.

Seeing Thomas in an Eagles uniform has to be somewhat awkward for Eagles fans. Thomas has developed into one of the game's top safeties which is a position of need for the Eagles. The Eagles passed up drafting Thomas in the first round in 2010 to select Brandon Graham before selecting Nate Allen in the second round.

Thomas and the Seahawks defeated the Eagles on Sunday 24-14.

Thomas did not end up in an Eagles jersey after the 2010 draft, but at least he sported one for a little while on Sunday.
