Get Your Tickets Now For Next Summer's Tall Ships Festival On The Delaware River

By Jim Melwert

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - It's not even winter yet, but tickets go on sale today for a big event planned for the Delaware River next June.

More than a dozen huge sailing ships will converge on the Philadelphia and Camden waterfronts from June 25th to June 28th for the first Tall Ships Festival held on the Delaware River in over a decade.

"It's a very cool experience, kind of sends a chill up and down your spine when you see all the ships together," says Tall Ships Philadelphia-Camden executive producer Craig Samborski.

Samborski says the ships, some with over 20,000 square feet of sails, will all take part in a grand parade of sail on June 25th:

"All the ships are in formation, cannons are blaring and both sides of the waterfront, I can tell you, will be filled with spectators."

Tickets are required. They range from $7 to $150.
