Video: Teen Violently Beaten In Random Attack In Kensington

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia police are searching for three suspects in the violent attack of a teen that was caught on tape.

The assault happened at about 12:45 a.m. on November 16th in the 900 block of N. 4th Street in the city's Kensington neighborhood.

According to investigators, the 17-year-old victim left a friend's house and was waiting outside to get a ride home when he was approached by the three suspects.

Without warning, one of the suspects sucker-punched the victim, knocking him to the ground. The two other suspects also joined in, kicking and punching the victim in the head.

At one point, it appears as if the suspects reached into the victim's pockets. The suspects then ran away.

The victim suffered a broken jaw and shattered teeth during the attack.

The Philadelphia Police Department is offering a $1,000 reward for the arrest and conviction of the suspects responsible.
