Sunshine Returns Briefly

By Justin Drabick

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --  After the past couple days of dreary and cool conditions, some sunshine will finally make a return to the Delaware Valley.  Expect some lingering low clouds, mist and fog early this evening, then skies will begin to clear out tonight, as a cold front moves through.  A colder air mass will filter into the Delaware Valley behind the front with lows in the lower 30s tonight.  High pressure will return to the region on Thursday bringing a mix of sunshine and clouds.  High temperatures will be cooler than average in the mid 40s during the day on Thursday.

Don't get used to the sunshine as clouds move back into the Northeast on Friday with highs in the 40s. Our next storm system will bring an unsettled weekend.  Expect some periods of rain on Saturday with highs near 50 degrees.  It is possible that some rain could linger into Sunday, if the storm moves out very slowly.  High temperatures on Sunday stay near average in the upper 40s.
