Search For Shane Montgomery Enters 7th Day

By Justin Finch, Dan Wing, Tim Jimenez

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- Day six in the search for missing West Chester University Student Shane Montgomery has come and gone with still no sign of the 21-year-old.

Volunteers gathered St. John's Church in Manayunk at Wednesday morning to post more fliers after the old ones were ruined by rain.

The reward for information leading to Montgomery has been increased to $31,000 thanks to recent donations from an area restaurant and the Student Government Association at West Chester University.

The school will also be hosting a candlelight vigil at 6 p.m. Wednesday in front of the Sykes Student Union, rain or shine.

Eyewitness News spoke to one of the last people to see Montgomery before he disappeared. Tim Wittman, 21, is Montgomery's first cousin and was with him in Manayunk.

"I'm helping out as much as I can. If the FBI needs me, I'll go down there. If the Philly Police need me, I'll go there. I'm just assisting in any which way that I can," Wittman said.

"I would do anything to get him back," Wittman said. "If you know something, say something."

Montgomery was last seen at a Manayunk bar during the early morning hours of Thanksgiving.

A website has also been set up listing all the important information in the disappearance.
