Bucks County Ice Hockey Rivals Battle For A Great Cause

WARMINSTER, Pa. (CBS) - It's the 10th anniversary of the Rock Cup -- an ice hockey rivalry between Council Rock North and South, being held at the Warwick Ice Rink tonight, weather permitting. And when the puck drops at 7 p.m., one charity will benefit.
15-year-old Karlee Hoffman was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia when she was three-years-old. She's now cancer-free, but confined to a wheel chair. But she still managed to become a JV cheerleader at North.
"Karlee has been in a wheelchair for many years, she is what they call 'the base' of their triangle, so they climb on around and over her during her cheerleading exhibitions," explains Angela Rienzi, president of the North hockey team.
And she says Karlee has inspired the team to pick an organization dear to her to benefit from the game:
"This year's Rock Cup is to benefit the Leukemia Lymphoma Society."
The hockey clubs are hoping to raise over $2,000 through ticket sales and raffle baskets.
