In 2001, Ken Wisnefski launched his first business, Vendor Seek, as a one man start-up out of his New Jersey basement that quickly grew into an enterprise of more than 40 employees with over five million dollars in annual revenue. In 2008, after selling Vendor Seek and another successful business (Impact Direct), Ken created WebiMax, an industry leader in digital marketing.

“I received a degree in communications from Richard Stockton College in 1996. The education I received as a Stockton student was second to none and has given me some of the best years of my life. I consider the whole experience invaluable and would not trade it for anything. I attribute much of my successes to my education.”
What is your background in management?

How has your education fueled your management success?
“My education in communications gave me a fast-track to succeed in the business world. My company markets our services as a partnership with other businesses, and while knowing all the ins and outs and being an authority in our field is of high value, I’ve found that a lot our success comes from listening to the principals of other businesses, understanding their problems and finding solutions as fast as possible. There is a narrative to success, and it’s clear, concise and actionable. Once I understood that, I could always see a path to success and communicate it to our partners/clients and employees.”
What advice would you give a new graduate seeking a career in business management?
“Knowing how to delegate tasks and who to delegate them to is a skill, but don’t be above tasks.
