State Senator Anthony Williams Joins Race For Philadelphia Mayor

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- There's another candidate is throwing a hat in the ring to be the next mayor of Philadelphia.
State Senator Anthony Williams wants the top job in city government.
"We need to make changes now. We need to change most importantly the way we conduct the public's business."
The five-term Democrat says some of his goals are to reduce crime, narrowing the income gap and to improve city schools.
"I don't want to be the mayor for just one part of our town. I want to lift up every part of my great city."
Williams represents parts of Philadelphia and Delaware County in Harrisburg.
He unsuccessfully ran for governor four years ago, but did win the most votes in the Philadelphia primary.
Williams is the fourth candidate to announce his bid for mayor.
The others include former Philadelphia district attorney Lynne Abraham, former Nutter aide Terry Gillen and Ken Trujillo, a former city solicitor.
