The Undefeated Youth Football Olney Eagles Need Your Help

By Andrew Porter

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- There's one Eagles football team in this town that has yet to a lose a game. In fact, these Eagles have outscored their opponents by a gargantuan margin of 210 to nine. Something even Chip Kelly would be impressed by.

The football team I speak of are the nine and 10-year-old 95-pound, 9-0, Olney Eagles of Philadelphia.

By winning the Cadets Division, the boys of Olney have earned an opportunity to represent Philadelphia in the Youth Championship Football Tournament in Tampa Bay, Florida for a chance to win the National Championship. The tournament will take place from December 6th to December 13th.

As an organization, the Olney Eagles are humbly requesting for your help to compete (donate here).

"You as stakeholders in our community, for your sponsorship to help defer the cost of travel and lodging, in pursuit of our championship drive, magical season, and 'Run for the Ring'," Thomas Brady, father of the team's center and defensive lineman Mike Brady, wrote in a letter. "Any sponsorship would be greatly appreciated and acknowledged on t-shirts that are worn, programs that are printed, games that are played, festivities, and banquets."

"The combination of coaches and athletes we have, has created the perfect storm," an excited Brady told CBSPhilly.com on Tuesday. "It's really great."

The Eagles will take on the Jr. Midget Division Champs, the Bustleton Bengals, this Saturday at 12:30pm at Lincoln High School for the Northeast Suburban Athletic Conference (NESAC) Championship.
