Weather: The Cold Is Here To Stay

By Geoff Bansen

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- As we approach the midway point in November, daily high temperatures through next week will feel more like those of December instead!

We had some snowflakes fall last night, dropping a light coating in places across the Delaware Valley and giving many that feeling of winter.

Nothing much to talk about this morning, except for bright blue skies and those chilly temperatures. Highs will meddle in the mid 40s today, with overnight lows expected to drop into the upper 20s across the majority of the area.

The weekend will be a dry one. Clear skies stick around for Saturday before clouds roll in on Sunday. Any sunshine will be limited to end the weekend. That will signal the leading edge of our next rain maker, which will mosey on in just in time to begin the work week. Something to keep in mind - as this system exits Monday night into early Tuesday, we could see a similar scenario to last night. That is, some snowflakes on the back edge of the departing system as the colder air rushes in behind it.
