Weather: Time Ticking On Nice Temperatures

By Geoff Bansen

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- The 60s will be sticking around for the next few days. Enjoy them while they last.

We currently sit between a cold front to the west and a coastal low down to the south. The latter will give us nothing more than some clouds today that will mix in with the sunshine. The cold front to the west will allow for the warmer than average temperatures for your Tuesday.

As that front approaches later tonight, the Delaware Valley could see a sprinkle through Wednesday morning before the front moves away. As the sun returns by Wednesday afternoon, the breeze will pick up and temperatures will begin their plummet. Once the sun begins to set, you may not see 60s again for the remainder of 2014.

Lows Thursday morning should be stuck in the upper 30s, and they won't rebound out of the 40s. Clouds then thicken again and we'll be watching an area of low pressure that could set off a rain or snow shower into early Friday morning. Anything that falls won't stick on the roadways, and will have a tough time remaining on other surfaces as well.

The sun is back for most of the day Friday, but so are those chilly temps!

The weekend looks dry again before another system moves in Sunday night into Monday morning.

The main story of the next several days will be that cold plummet. So get out and enjoy today, because tomorrow it's time to say goodbye!

Happy Veteran's Day to all of those who have served! Tune in to CBS3 Eyewitness News Wednesday at 11 to see Kathy Orr's Winter Weather forecast!
