Sports Radio 610 To Carry St. Joseph's Men's Basketball Games For Fourth Straight Year

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Saint Joseph's University will continue its partnership with Sports Radio 610 (WIP-AM) for the fourth consecutive season in 2014-15 as the station will carry the broadcast of every Hawks' men's basketball game.

"That is gonna be sensational for all of us," St. Joseph's head coach Phil Martelli told the 94WIP Morning Show on Monday. "That's gonna really help us promote our program."

The broadcast schedule begins on November 14 as the defending Atlantic 10 champion Hawks open the year against Fairleigh Dickinson at Hagan Arena. Sports Radio 610 will air a total of 30 regular-season games live and in their entirety, as well as broadcasting Hawks' post-season contests.

"We're glad to continue this partnership with WIP-AM, a station which owns such a strong Philadelphia sports tradition. We're delighted that our fans can hear all of our games on one station on a consistent basis throughout the season," said Saint Joseph's head coach Phil Martelli.

Sports Radio 610 will again serve as the host for Phil Martelli's "HawkTalk" radio show which will air live on Monday evenings beginning in January. The show will be held at a new site this year – Landmark Americana, on 54th Street across from the Saint Joseph's campus. The show will feature Martelli and co-host Joe Lunardi.

The Saint Joseph's game broadcast team of Matt Martucci and Lunardi will return for their sixth season together, while Lunardi is marking his 25th year as the Hawks' color analyst.
