Community Holds Toy Drive For Brother Of Slain 3-Year-Old

DOWNINGTOWN, Pa. (CBS) --- The gruesome details surrounding the death of 3-year-old Scotty McMillan left the community where he lived shocked and horrified.
On Sunday, the community continued to remember Scotty and tried to do something special for his brother, 6-year-old Ryan McMillan.
Janice Baker, a Chester County resident, brought a pickup truck and a trailer to a local police station parking lot and organized a toy drive -- so little Ryan could have a chance at a good Christmas.
"I immediately started to tear up, and said we have to do something," Baker said.
With the help of some friends, the "Infamous Ryders" motorcycle club out of Chester County, Baker was able to publicize the toy drive and collect donations and toys.
"The whole story has been heart-wrenching for the whole community," said a tearful woman who attended the toy drive. "My husband and I have been thinking about, we wish we could do something. So when we heard about this, we jumped on the opportunity."
Though a toy drive may can't erase the pain of losing a brother, donors say Janice Baker is giving hope to the community, and a chance to start healing.
6-year-old Ryan is staying with an aunt now.
Police arrested 31-year-old Jillian Tait and 23-year-old Gary Fellenbaum for savagely beating Scotty McMillan until he died. They are also accused of beating Ryan.
Both children are Tait's from a previous relationship.
Tait and Fellenbaum are both facing first degree murder charges.
