PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Voters in the Philadelphia suburbs will see Congressional races on the ballot when they head to the polls today in addition to some state House and Senate contests.

There will be at least two new faces headed to Washington to represent local congressional districts.

In the 13th District, democrat Brendan Boyle and republican Dee Adcock are vying to replace Allyson Schwartz who gave up her seat in a failed bid to run for governor.

In the 6th District, democrat Manan Trivedi is running against republican Ryan Costello. The winner will replace the retiring Jim Gerlach.

In the 8th District, incumbent Mike Fitzpatrick is being challenged by Kevin Strouse and in the 7th, incumbent Pat Meehan’s challenger is Mary Ellen Balchunis.

Political observers will also be watching the state Senate race in Delaware County featuring John Kane and Tom McGarrigle.
