Officials ID 2 Killed In Murder-Suicide Outside Chester County YMCA

COATESVILLE, Pa. (AP) — Prosecutors say a man fatally shot his estranged girlfriend and then turned the gun on himself in a murder-suicide outside a suburban Philadelphia YMCA.

Chester County District Attorney Tom Hogan says Dennis Cassel attacked Jacinda Miller as she arrived for work around 6 p.m. Monday at the YMCA of the Brandywine Valley.

Hogan says the 42-year-old Cassel knelt next to the 41-year-old Miller's body until an officer arrived. That's when Hogan says Cassel committed suicide.

Hogan called it "another tragedy of domestic violence." He says Miller leaves behind two children.

More than 100 people, including children in day care and after-school programs, were inside the Brandywine branch of YMCA of the Brandywine Valley at the time.

The building was locked down for about two hours.
