Flyers In Tampa Tonight, Looking For Fourth Straight Win

By Matt Leon

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- The Flyers are feeling pretty good about things these days.

After a rough start to the season, they have won three straight games to improve to 4-3-2 this season. They'll look for a fourth straight victory tonight as they visit the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Last time out on Tuesday, the Flyers won in overtime against Los Angeles at the Center, 3-2. Brayden Schenn netted the game winner in that one and Ray Emery played another great game in net, kicking away 38 shots. Emery will, once again, be in net tonight against the Lightning. Emery  is 4-0-1 this season with a 2.44 GAA and a save percentage of .924.

Tamps Bay is 6-3-1 this season and with ten points they sit second in the Atlantic Division. They last played on Tuesday as well, beating Arizona, 7-3.

The Flyers have lost their last six games on Tampa Bay's home ice, only getting one of those games out of regulation. Their last win in Tampa came in February of 2011.

KYW's Matt Leon spoke with Sam Carchidi of the Philadelphia Inquirer about what to look for tonight.
