While examining and treating the toddler, medical personnel at the hospital believed the head injury suffered by the victim was not consistent with a fall as described by the child’s babysitter, Weiler.

Following an investigation, Pennsylvania State Police said it was determined that the victim’s injuries were a direct result of physical abuse inflicted upon the victim by Weiler.

Investigators said the toddler suffered traumatic head injuries resulting from the alleged assault and remains in critical condition.

Weiler was arraigned and bail has been set at $500,000.
