3 Arrested For More Than A Dozen Robberies In Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Three suspects have been arrested for more than a dozen robberies in Northeast Philadelphia.

Twenty-seven-year-old Jian Chen, 29-year-old Patrick Rowe and 25-year-old Corey Lockhart were arrested for the crimes.

Police say that on Oct. 17 around 2:23 a.m., an officer in the area of 5700 Harbison Avenue conducted a vehicle investigation on a silver 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse.

The car matched the description of a vehicle involved in several commercial robberies at 7-Eleven, Wawa and area bars.

Officers found a silver AMT .45 cal handgun from the rear seat of the vehicle, one black metal BB gun, a black Velcro half mask, a black hooded sweatshirt and a black scarf.

Police also observed the front passenger matched a description of one of the suspects in the robberies.

On Oct. 17, search warrants were served at the suspects' residences and on the car.

Evidence was discovered inside the houses and within the car.

Two rifles, two silver handguns and a ballistic vest were recovered from inside Chen's residence and ammunition was found inside Lockhart's home.

Rowe and Chen were charged with 13 of 14 robberies, while Lockhart was charged with Violation of Uniform Firearms.

Rowe and Lockhart have criminal records.
