Local Art Studio Helping People Make The Perfect Halloween Costume

By Justin Udo

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Halloween is right around the corner and lots of people, especially kids, are looking for the right costume.

There's a place in Philadelphia that has a class for folks who want to build that perfect outfit.

From ghosts and goblins to fruits and vegetables, the team at Next Fab get people wanting to make all sorts of costumes.

"Basically, we are giving them an overview on the different process and materials they can run through for their Halloween costume," explains Jim Brown with Next Fab.

Brown says during their weekly Halloween costume design class, they work with folks from the inception of their idea:

"We're trying to get them involved in what the project is, find out what their requirements are and kind of push them on the path to getting that project from an idea to an actual costume for Halloween."

Kaitlyn Debiasse also works for Next Fab and says there is one big rule to keep in mind when creating your costume:

"Think way outside the box, concept-wise and execution-wise."

So what's one of the more unique designs Kaitlyn has helped someone with?

"One guy was going to be Radiohead, but just put a radio on his head," she says.

The costume design classes run until the end of the month.
