Police: AK-47 Used During Shooting In West Oak Lane; Man Critically Injured

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia police are investigating a shooting that left a man in critical condition.

The shooting happened at about 11:30 p.m. Monday in the 7700 block of Thouron Avenue in the city's West Oak Lane section.

According to investigators, an unidentified male was shot three times. The male was taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center where he is listed in critical condition.

Officers at the scene investigating the shooting found 11 AK-47 shell casings and six spent rounds from a .40 caliber handgun.

The suspects remain on the loose.

Investigators say the shooting does not appear to be random.

The shooting remains under investigation.
