PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Philadelphia police are investigating the discovery of a body that was pulled from the Delaware River Tuesday afternoon.

The body was recovered from the Delaware River at about 12:30 p.m. near the Walt Whitman Bridge.

The body is expected to be taken to the medical examiner’s office where an autopsy will be performed to determine a cause of death and the victim’s identity.

The discovery remains under investigation.
