All The Colors Of The Season On Display At Morris Arboretum

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - There's a Fall Festival this Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 to 3:00 at the Morris Arboretum where you can enjoy all kinds of autumnal activities for grown ups and kids, from taste-testing apples to scarecrow making to painting pumpkins. Or just taking a stroll to vote on your favorite scarecrow from the display along the Oak Alleé 'runway.'

But, to truly celebrate fall, all you really have to do is wander through the 92 acres of gardens in the Morris Arboretum and marvel at the colors of the leaves on some of the oldest and most majestic trees in our area as they show off their constantly-changing fall costumes.

Watch as some maples, oaks and sweet gum leaves turn scarlet red, other tree leaves age to orange, and the Morris's giant champion Katsura tree leaves give way to gold and give off their carmelly-cotton candy scent.

You can even go Out on a Limb on the Morris's canopy walk to be 50 feet up into the treetops yourself!
