PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Police are investigating a hit-and-run crash that took the life of a 73-year-old man and injured his grandson in Northwest Philadelphia.

Police say the victim had just picked his 13-year-old grandson up from football practice about 8:15 p.m. Friday when an SUV ran a stop sign at Gorgas Lane and Ardleigh Street in East Mount Airy, and struck his car.
