Phillies Part Ways With Assistant GM Marti Wolever

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Phillies announced on Friday afternoon that the organization will be parting ways with Assistant General Manager, Amateur Scouting Marti Wolever. The following statement was released by General Manager Ruben Amaro Jr.

"The Phillies announced today that the contract of Marti Wolever, Assistant General Manager, Amateur Scouting, will not be renewed for 2015. The Phillies express appreciation for Marti's many years of service to the organization."

The Phillies are beginning their final series on Friday against the Braves to close out the 2014 season.
