Local Advocate Working Against Domestic Violence Weighs In On Roger Goodell's News Conference

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Leaders of Women Against Abuse in Philadelphia watched Roger Goodell's news conference Friday afternoon.
Jeannine Lisitski is executive director of Women Against Abuse. She says Goodell's comments were welcome.
"It's wonderful that the NFL is not to use a pun, going to tackle it and literally redo all their policies and procedures and provide some education about family violence," Lisitski said.
She says however, it's not just at the national level that this is needed.
"He pointed to some national partnerships, I think that's wonderful, But I think we also need, and we may need more is local partnerships, for example the Eagles," Lisitski said.
As in the Eagles Football Team. Lisitski says October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month and she is asking the Eagles to join with Women Against Abuse, to mark the month. And provide some high profile players to help get the message across.
