PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — He’s listed as “day-to-day”, but there’s no way in the world DeSean Jackson misses this game.

Jackson spent his first six NFL seasons in Philadelphia reaching three Pro-Bowls as an Eagles wide receiver and on Sunday, D-Jac returns to Philly with his new team the Washington Redskins.

The former Eagles’ 2008 second-round draft pick, who suffered a mild sprain of the AC joint in his left shoulder last Sunday, reached out to his old buddy LeSean McCoy via text on Tuesday.

“Just talkin’ about that he’s seen the game last night, and we looked good, and you know he said a little bit of this and that,” McCoy told Anthony Gargano and Ike Reese on 94WIP’s Players Lounge show of his text conversation with Jackson. “He’s [Jackson] playing. He’s definitely playing. That’s the first thing he text, he said, ‘I’m playin’.'”

The Eagles, of course, are coming off an impressive come-from-behind 30-27 win over the Colts on Monday night thanks in large part to the Eagles new scat back Darren Sproles.

“I told the media after the game that hey, without Sproles we would have been in some trouble, honestly,” McCoy admitted on Tuesday. “And I’m glad that he’s here to give us some sparks we need, and make some plays, and be another part to this offense that a team has to watch after for.”

McCoy, who is only averaging 3.7 yards per carry in two games this season behind a banged up offensive line, took the blame for his early struggles.

“They did good, they really did,” McCoy said of the offensive line in Monday night’s win over the Colts. “Even with the news guys coming in, stepping up in there and playing a major role in this win. I think, as myself I just got to better of reading things out and actually taking what they give me. ”

As for Jackson, does Shady thinks he misses playing in Philly?

“Yeah, I do,” McCoy said. “Who wouldn’t?”
