By Ray Boyd

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The USA Men's Senior National Team defeated Serbia on Sunday 129-92 to win the gold medal at the 2014 FIBA World Cup. The team was led by Cleveland Cavaliers point guard Kyrie Irving who scored 26 points and was a perfect 6-6 from behind the three point line.

The win gave the USA back-to-back FIBA titles.

In addition to leading the USA to victory, Irving was named the FIBA World Cup MVP.

Mike Krzyzewski's squad appeared to be in for a close game in the early minutes, but that quickly changed as Irving heated up. Team USA took a 26 point lead into halftime.

Eight players scored in double figured for Team USA. The Houston Rockets' James Harden added 23 points to the cause, while Kenneth Faried of the Denver Nuggets added 12 points and seven rebounds.

Faried was also named to the All-Tournament Team along with Irving.

The USA went a perfect 9-0 at the FIBA World Cup.
