It’s reassuring to have a phone in case of an emergency, but there are some scenarios where you may not be able to tell authorities where to find you. Distress Signal sends a text message to emergency services that includes your GPS coordinates, along with a maps link.

It also stores your emergency contact details, allergies and medical conditions on the screen, in case you’re unable to supply them when help arrives.
