By Jim Donovan: According to the ASPCA, 60 percent of dogs and 70 percent of cats are euthanized every year in animal shelters across the nation. In an effort to save homeless pets just outside the Philadelphia area, the Feasterville Petco is hosting a mega adoption event on Saturday, September 13, 2013, from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

This mega adoption event will feature dogs and cats from several shelters across the Philadelphia area. Participating adoption groups and other animal related organizations include: Prancing Paws, Cats Bridge to Rescue, Wet Nose, Animal Care and Control Team, and the Veterinary Specialty & Emergency Center.

In addition to pet adoptions, attendees can look forward to carnival games, free snacks, music, and family-friendly activities.
