Survey Says Only A Third Of US Workers Want To Be The Boss

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- Only a 3rd of US workers say they want to be in charge.
That number sounds surprisingly low to some of those hoping to climbing the ranks. Kim from Washington Township, New Jersey says, "I'm shocked actually. I would actually think that people wouldn't want to remain stagnant, that they would want to sort of progress and move forward. That's surprising."
But Janette Welsh from Sharon Hill says she's been the boss, and she is much happier now that she's no longer the one in charge.
"The stress just wasn't worth it," she said. "I think that when you get to a certain age, you value a stress-free environment more than you do money."
The survey from careerbuilder.com finds men are more likely than women to be interested in being the boss, by a ratio of 40% to 29%.
