Joel Embiid Not Thrilled With Rating In Upcoming Video Game

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Producers of sports video games strive to create an experience as close as possible to the real life game. A major part of that is to make sure that the players in the games have skill sets that mirror their real life games.

The accumulation of those skills make up a player's overall rating and newly drafted Sixers' center Joel Embiid is looking for his rating to be a little higher. The makers of NBA2K15 have given Embiid an overall rating of 77.

Embiid took to Instagram to make his stance on the rating clear.

Embiid's rating might be low in his eyes, but is definitely respectable considering the circumstances. The first rookie taken in the draft, Andrew Wiggins, also received a 77 rating and Jabari Parker received the highest rookie ranking at 78.

Regardless of the rating, at least Sixers fans will get somewhat of an opportunity to see Embiid on the court in a Sixers jersey. The only thing is it will be in a video game.

In all seriousness, Embiid is more than likely fine with the 77 rating, but judging from his social media usage, sometimes it is hard to tell when he is kidding. He appears to be very grateful to be in a video game.

NBA2k15 will be released on October 7th.
