Caught On Tape: Violent Attack, Robbery Outside Juniata Bar

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia police are searching for two suspects who were caught on tape beating and robbing two men outside a bar.

The incident, which was caught on surveillance tape, happened at about 5:20 p.m. on August 24th outside the Family Tavern Bar on Bennington Street in the city's Juniata section.

The video shows the armed suspects approach their victims, who were sitting on the side steps of the bar.

The first suspect ordered both victims to empty their pockets. At one point during the altercation, the first suspect struck one of the victims in the face with a fist and a handgun.

While this was going on, the second suspect pointed a handgun at the second victim.

The suspects stole the victims' cell phones, identifications, keys and $100 before running from the scene.

One victim suffered injuries to his head, face and right knee. The second victim was not injured.

The first suspect is described as a black male, 25 years-of-age, 5'7″, 150 lbs., thin build, dark complected, mustache and goatee, wearing black jeans, white t-shirt and armed with a handgun.

The second suspect is described as a black male, 25 years-of-age, 5'7″, 150 lbs, thin build, light brown complected, wearing gray jean and white t-shirt, carrying a silver of gray 9mm semi-automatic.

Anyone with information is urged to contact police.
