PECO Finds No Problems With Gas System, Source Of Odor Still Unknown

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- PECO is continuing it's investigation into the cause of a gas odor reported in several nearby counties.
A PECO spokesperson says crews have investigated every report and have determined there is no issue with their natural gas system. But what they haven't determined is the cause of the gas odor that has prompted 1,000 calls to the utility company since Saturday.
The odor has been reported throughout Montgomery, Delaware, Chester and Bucks counties. Crews do not believe it's related to nearby refineries or the direction of the wind.
The utility company says they will continue to look into every report and they have extra staff members working at an emergency operation center in Plymouth Meeting.
