Police Reportedly Open Fire On Suspect In North Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A Philadelphia police officer reportedly fired a weapon at a suspect in North Philadelphia on Thursday night.

The incident happened on the 2200 block of North 9th Street around 10:50 p.m.

An officer reportedly discharged his or her weapon at the armed suspect, who then fled.

Police were able to apprehend the suspect, and there were no injuries to that person or to police.

There is no word on why police fired at the suspect.
