Midfielder Pedro Ribeiro sits in with KYW’s Greg Orlandini and Philly Soccer Page writer Eli Pearlman-Storch.
Ribeiro, along with goalkeeper Andre Blake (first pick overall in this past MLS draft), played in he Union’s 2-0 loss to the Houston Dynamo last Friday. Though a midfielder, Ribeiro got the start at forward against Houston.
We then look at the Union as they try to recover from a rough patch of their schedule, playing three games in seven days, including 120 minutes in the US Open Cup semifinal in Dallas. The Union gets a long week to recover, playing host to San Jose on Sunday at PPL Park.
