AAA Mid-Atlantic: NJ Gas Prices Still Falling

TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — Motorists continue to see sharply lower prices at the pumps in New Jersey.

AAA Mid-Atlantic says the average price of a gallon of regular gasoline in the state on Friday was $3.36, down 7 cents from last week. That's also lower than the price from a year ago, when motorists were paying $3.53.

This marks the fifth straight week that gas prices have fallen in New Jersey.

The national average price on Friday was $3.48, down 4 cents from last week. That's also lower than the national average from a year ago, when motorists were paying $3.59.

Analysts say falling crude oil prices have spurred the lower pump prices, despite ongoing concerns about simmering geopolitical tensions.
