Fantastic Friday!

By Geoff Bansen

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- It certainly doesn't feel like July as you step outside this morning! Temperatures in the low 60s this morning are more typical of late summer and early fall. But the sun will be shining, and by this afternoon, temps will warm into the low to mid 80s, with low humidity!

The weather stays dry into the first half of the weekend, with mostly sunny skies and warmer temperatures. Humidity levels will also be on the rise. There is a slight chance for an afternoon shower or storm on Saturday, so just keep an eye to the sky if you will be outdoors.

Saturday night and Sunday morning, a warm front will lift north of the area, setting off some overnight thunderstorms and ushering in steamy and moist air. Sunday will feature sun and clouds, with a chance of thunderstorms. That chance will increase through Sunday night, with a cold front pushing through the area on Monday. Highs Sunday will top out near 90 degrees ... the last foreseeable 90 degree day through the end of July! Tuesday kicks off a much cooler stretch of weather through at least the end of next week.

Today's Highs:
Philly -- 84
Shore -- 80
Poconos -- 75

Today In Weather History:
1989 -- Early evening thunderstorms in Pennsylvania produced more than two inches of rain in one hour in some spots.
