OCEAN CITY, N.J. (CBS) -- The shore means sun, sand and, of course, food!

So it's no surprise that seven shore towns in New Jersey ranked high on a list for "Top Boardwalk Food."

A website called The Daily Meal ranked Ocean City 15th.

Vinny Petruzzi of Ocean City says, "We like everything, steak sandwiches, sausage, obviously custard."

There are some popular spots for good eats in Ocean City, including the state's most famous candy.

Holly Kisby says, "Salt water taffy is a key component to your Jersey Shore travels."

Pizza is another staple boardwalk food.

One man has made a mission to find the best pizzeria.

Jequel Bailey says,"I'm going to try how it tastes."

Reporter: "So you have been actually working your way through different pizza shops on the boardwalk?"

Bailey replies, "That's right, that's right!"

And you can't forget the delicious fried food!

Sayane Bazaroba of Curly's Fries says, "Funnel cakes are also very popular and fried Oreos."

And some water ice or frozen yogurt for the kids cool off, but Mom isn't worried about the sugar overload.

Sharanjeet Chohan says "One day is okay, get the calories and go to the beach."

Four boardwalks in our area made the cut, including Atlantic City which came in fourth.

Manager of the Vistors Center Jacqui Carole says, "Only number four? I think we are number one personally, but it's great to get some positive news coming out about Atlantic City."

Atlantic City has the typical boardwalk style food, but also offers upscale cuisine.

Maria Fox says, "Nice pizza, nice salad with avocados and corn. It was delicious."

Tourists enjoy eating at Atlantic City for the beach view and restaurant dining.
