PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The operator of a motorcycle was thrown off his bike early Sunday morning when a car slammed into him in Center City.

This happened just after 2 a.m. when the car, driving on Broad Street, turned onto Walnut Street and hit the motorcycle.

The 39-year-old cyclist is now in critical condition at Jefferson Hospital.

Police have cited the driver of the car with a DUI.
