Clearing And Cooling

By Geoff Bansen

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Other than a few morning showers on Wednesday, most of the Delaware Valley can expect a dry day by the afternoon hours. Winds have already turned out of the northwest, ushering cooler air and more pleasant overall conditions that will last through the end of the week.

Highs will be warm, but below average today. It won't feel abnormally cool; just refreshing after the heat and humidity of late! Sunshine will return as locations clear, from west to east. Shore points will be the last to clear out, so beach conditions wont be ideal if you plan on making it an early start.

High Temps For The Region:
Phila -- 83
Shore -- 80
Poconos -- 75

Looking ahead to the weekend, I'd use the word 'acceptable' to describe it. It won't be fantastic with brilliant sunshine, but it won't be terrible either. Expect clouds and some sun both days, with a chance of an afternoon shower.
