PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police are on the hunt for a suspect who followed a woman into her apartment complex and robbed her and a friend.

On Sunday, June 15 around 10 p.m., a 45-year-old female was walking up to her apartment on the 6000 block of the Roosevelt Boulevard when a suspect attacked and threatened her.

The male suspect allegedly said, “Don’t leave or I’ll blow your head off.”

Police say the male then took her jewelry and forced her to call a friend to bring him more money. He forced the victim into her car and drove away, only to return moments later to meet the victim’s friend who had brought money.

After taking the money, the suspect left the scene with the female victim still inside of her vehicle. He then let her out at the end of her driveway and fled in an unknown direction with her car.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, around 20-years-old, 5’8”, 180 pounds with a muscular build. He was wearing a gray or green shirt, which was wrapped around his face, and long blue jean shorts.

Police ask if you have any information about the suspect or the incident, call 215-686-TIPS (8477) or text a tip to PPD TIP or 773847.
