PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Dom Giordano spoke with Lou Dobbs of the FOX Business Network on Talk Radio 1210 WPHT about the problems he sees today with the government and the Obama Administration.
Dobbs says that the relationship between big business and politicians has led to corruption that damages hard working Americans.
“Crony capitalism is the enemy of capitalism. It is not a natural by-product…Business has its place. It is not to be the dominant sector in our economy. It is not to be the dominant influence in our politics. The middle class, those that aspire to the middle class, the American Dream has to be the focus of the American economy and the American society and the American government,” he stated.
He spoke out against President Obama for not intervening in the case of Andrew Tahmooressi, a Marine currently held in a prison in Mexico for allegedly trafficking weapons, the way he did for prisoner-of-war Bowe Bergdahl.READ MORE: Four Children Among Five Killed In Pottstown Home Explosion, Police Say
“This is unacceptable. This President hasn’t even mentioned his name, but stands there in the Rose Garden with Bergdahl’s parents.
I’m not sure what the messages are that he’s trying to send but I can tell you what’s being received. This man doesn’t care much at all for those who served with distinction, for those that served this country with valor and he doesn’t want to make a tough choice of any kind. I just can’t even imagine why the American people who are tolerating a president who won’t even mention the name of an active duty sergeant who has been thrown into a jail in Mexico,” Dobbs said.
Dobbs was also critical of tech firms who create and enable programs used to spy on private citizens.MORE NEWS: Beach Erosion Will Keep One-Third Of North Wildwood Beaches Closed Memorial Day Weekend
“The group of technology countries does more to break our rights of privacy any day than the NSA has ever done. We are in an upside down world and we don’t have enough with the guts to speak truth, and specifically with the guts to speak truth to power,” he said.
