Phillies Agree To Terms With Aaron Nola

PHILADELPHIA (CBS)—The Phillies announced on Tuesday afternoon they have agreed to terms with their first-round selection, right-handed pitcher from LSU Aaron Nola. Nola was selected seventh overall by the Phillies in the first round of the 2014 First-Year Player Draft.

Nola, 6-foot-1, 195 pounds, finished his career at LSU going 30-6 with a 2.09 ERA. He was honored as the Southeastern Conference's Pitcher of the Year in both 2013 and 2014, the only player in conference history to win the award twice.

Nola will be formally introduced to the media by general manager Ruben Amaro Jr. on Tuesday at 4:45pm ET.
